Glaser Laser Model 6T project - A 650B conversion

Tiffany, my fiance, needs a new bike. Her old bike got stolen on the UC Berkeley campus and I have concluded that part of the reason is that it was kinda flashy. With carbon seat stays and a carbon fork, it looked like an expensive bike that would be easy to sell. So, I have decided to build her a road bike, based on old frame found in a friend's garage. This bike will have decent components but look a little old and worn out and hopefully not be as much of a target. But the most exciting part of this bike will be its 650B wheelset. Like me, Tiffany is a little vertically challenged, and the stand over hight of the resurrected frame is just a little too much with a 27" wheelset (did I mention this was an old frame). My hope is that the 650B wheelset will correct this geometry flaw while providing a slightly smoother ride. There are lots of steps to the conversion and I am hopefully going to blog about them all in a step by step fashion. Most of the steps are detailed somewhere on the internets, but hey you can never have too much info. I have also decided to start giving model numbers to bikes that I build up using old or generic frames. This one will be called the Glaser Laser Model 6T. The number 6 indicates that it will be based on a 650B wheel set, and the T indicates that it is specifically for Tiffany. (Side Note: I am going to retroactively name my SS/Fixie the Glaser Laser Model 1)
